Abstract
vidē, it īpaši nekontrolētu skaņas līmeni slimnīcu palātu lielākajā daļā, jo tas ietekmē veselības
aprūpes personāla un pacientu labklājību.
Background: Emergency Medical Doctors are usually the first contact critical patients have with the Health System. Consequently, their work patterns including number of working hours, night shifts, exposure to high stress situations and general health status could affect the relationship patient-physician. Unpleasant work space polluted with unnecessary noise might have a direct impact in everyday life and performance, especially among physicians. Proper education, awareness and management on a healthy work environment, notably the uncontrolled levels of sound in the majority of the Hospital wards should be assessed, as it carries consequences for the wellbeing of the healthcare staff and patients.
