Abstract
Kopš 2018.gada 25.maija Eiropas Savienībā un Eiropas Ekonomiskās zonas robežās ir piemērojama Vispārīgā datu aizsardzības regula, kuras mērķis ir nodrošināt datu subjektu tiesības uz privātumu un personas datu drošību.
Vispārīgās datu regulas piemērošana korektai pacientu personas datu apstrādei rada neskaidrību medicīnas nozarē, īpaši pacientu dalībā medicīnas pētījumos, tāpēc bakalaura darba “Pacientu personas datu apstrādes aktuālie tiesību jautājumi” mērķis ir apkopot un analizēt aktuālos tiesību jautājumus, kas saistīti ar personas datu apstrādes tiesisko pamatu piemērošanu medicīnas pētījumos, datu aizsardzības speciālista piesaistīšanas tiesiskajiem trūkumiem, nepilngadīgo pacientu personas datu apstrādes īpatnībām, mirušo personu personas datu apstrādes izņēmumiem un globālās pandēmijas ietekmi uz personas datu apstrādi medicīnas pētījumos.
Bakalaura darbā ir veikti secinājumi par nacionālo tiesību normu atbilstību Vispārīgai datu aizsardzības regulai, apzinātas problēmas, kas saistītas ar personas datu aizsardzības principu un nosacījumu piemērošanu praksē, regulējuma izmaiņām globālās pandēmijas laikā, nepilngadīgo personu un mirušo personu tiesībām uz personas datu aizsardzību, un sniegti priekšlikumi pastāvošā tiesiskā regulējuma pilnveidošanai.

Since 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation has been applicable in the European Union and within the European Economic Area, the aim of which is to ensure the right of data subjects to privacy and security of personal data. The application of the General Data Regulation to the correct processing of patients' personal data creates confusion in the medical sector, especially in patients' participation in medical research, therefore the bachelor's thesis "Current legal issues in the processing of patients' personal data" aims to summarize and analyse current legal issues related to personal data processing. medical research, legal shortcomings in the involvement of a data protection specialist, the peculiarities of the processing of personal data of minor patients, exceptions to the processing of personal data of deceased persons and the impact of the global pandemic on the processing of personal data in medical research. The bachelor's thesis concludes on the compliance of national legal norms with the General Data Protection Regulation, identifies problems related to the application of personal data protection principles and conditions in practice, regulatory changes during the global pandemic, the right of minors and the deceased to personal data protection, and makes proposals. improvement of the existing legal framework.
