TMAO AKŪTA IETEKME UZ ASINSVADU ENERĢIJAS METABOLISMU UN REAKTIVITĀTI.

Abstract
Saskaņā ar Pasaules Veselības organizācijas statistikas datiem, sirds un asinsvadu slimības ir viens no galvenajiem nāves cēloņiem visā pasaulē. Pēdējās desmitgades laikā 30% no visiem nāves gadījumiem sastādija kardiovaskulārās saslimšanas. Pēdējo gadu laikā strauji sāka pētīt saikni starp kardiovaskulārām saslimšanām un zarnu mikrobiotas metabolītu trimetilamīna N-oksīdu (TMAO). Tomēr joprojām nav pārliecinošu pierādījumu, vai TMAO ir tikai sirds un asinsvadu slimību biomarķieris, vai tieši veicina attiecīgo slimību attīstību. Šī pētījuma mērķis bija novērtēt TMAO akūto ietekmi uz asinsvadu enerģijas metabolismu, kā arī pretestības un vadīšanas asinsvadu reaktivitāti.
According to the World Health Organization, cardiovascular diseases are still the leading cause of death worldwide and comprise nearly 30% of all deaths in the last decade. During the last decade the link between cardiovascular diseases and gut microbiota-derived metabolite trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) has been studied extensively. However, there is still no convicting evidence whether TMAO is a biomarker of cardiovascular diseases or it directly promotes cardiovascular disease development. The aim of this study was to assess the acute effects of TMAO on the vascular energy metabolism as well as vascular reactivity in resistance and conductance vessels.
