Abstract
Pētījuma pamatojums: Šis pētnieciskais darbs novērtēja neķirurģisko un ķirurģisko periimplantīta ārstēšanas metožu efektivitāti. Periimpalantītu raksturo mīksto audu iekaisums un kaula zudums, kas var novest pie zobu implantu zuduma.
Mērķis: Šī pētnieciskā darba mērķis bija salīdzināt un novērtēt neķirurģisko un ķirurģisko ārstēšanas metožu efektivitāti implantiem, kurus skāris periimplantīts.
Secinājumi: Mūsdienās ir pieejams plašs periimplantīta ārstēšanas iespēju spektrs, tādēļ autors cer, ka šis pētnieciskais darbs būs informatīvs materiāls praktizējošiem speciālistiem par periimplantīta ārstēšanas iespējām.
Background: This study assessed the efficacy of non-surgical and surgical treatments of periimplantitis. Periimplantitis is usually associated with bone loss and inflammation of the soft tissue which can lead to loss of the dental implants. Aim: The aim of this study was to compare and evaluate the effect of non-surgical and surgical treatments when implants are affected by periimplantitis. Conclusions: As of today, there is a broad range of treatment options for periimplantitis therefore is it hoped that this study will be informative for practitioners about management of periimplantitis.
