Abstract
No visiem respondentiem, visvairāk sieviešu jeb 74,7% (n=133) grūtniecības aprūpi veica
pie ginekologa – dzemdību speciālista. Antenatālo aprūpi pie vecmātes saņēma 18% (n=32),
taču pie ģimenes ārsta – 7,3% (n=13).
Darbs sastāv no ievaddaļas, četrām nodaļām, 19 apakšnodaļām, secinājumu un
priekšlikumu sadaļas. Darba kopējais apjoms ir 42 lpp., kurās iekļauti divi attēli, 18 tabulas, 21
literatūras avots un trīs pielikumi.
The aim of the bachelor thesis "Factors in choosing a physiological pregnancy care specialist" was to find out the influencing factors in the choice of a physiological pregnancy care specialist. Antenatal care in Latvia can be provided by midwives, gynecologists or general practitioners. In most European countries, the care of a healthy pregnant woman is the competence of midwives and general practitioner, but a gynecologist is called in when complications arise. The gynecologist's competence is the care of high-risk pregnant women (Rezeberga, 2016). In Latvia, it has not been studied what factors guide women to choose a specialist for the care of their physiological pregnancy. Hypothesis put forward - the influencing factors in the choice of a physiologic pregnancy care specialist differ. This is a quantitative non-experimental cross-sectional comparative study, within the framework of which the author has developed a questionnaire. The obtained data were collected and analyzed using descriptive methods. With the help of the questionnaire, the opinion of the respondents on influencing factors was analyzed, giving the opportunity to also mention their own, unmentioned factors. The work revealed that the influencing factors in the choice of a pregnancy care specialist are different, depending on the chosen specialist - midwife, gynecologist or general practitioner. • Factors to choose midwife care - recommendations, friendly atmosphere, patient-oriented care, etc. • Factors to choose gynecologist care - trust, wide competences, more medical examinations, etc. • Factors to choose the care of a general practitioner - convenient place of residence, trust in the specialist, etc. Out of all the respondents, the majority of women, or 74.7% (n=133), received care from a gynecologist - an obstetrician. 18% (n=32) received antenatal care from a midwife, but 7.3% (n=13) from a general practitioner. The work consists of an introductory part, four chapters, 19 subsections, a section of conclusions and proposals. The total volume of the work is 42 pages, which include two images, 18 tables, 21 literature sources and three appendices.
