Abstract
Darba autore: Inese Kalniņa
Bakalaura darba tēma: Radošais darbs. Fototerapija un daba. Fototerapija mentālai veselībai
Darba zinātniskā vadītāja: Mg. Art. Baiba Tetere
Tiek izveidots nosaukums ceļojošajai fotogrāfiju izstādei - “My space”.
Author: Inese Kalniņa Theme of the Bachelor’s thesis: Creative work. Phototherapy and nature. Phototherapy for mental health. Advisor: Mg. Art. Baiba Tetere The aim of the Bachelor’s thesis is to study the theoretical literature available on the interaction between human and nature, as well as the symbiosis photography and human mental health. A significant amount of theoretical research is dedicated to the positive influence of nature on human mental and physical well-being, as well as the connection of physical health with mental. Appropriate practices of photography for use in nature with therapeutic elements for targeting group work or youth individually are explored. In the thesis “Creative work. Phototherapy and nature. Phototherapy for mental health” offers a concept, a solution for the problem of mental tension based on the knowledge of therapeutic photography. Thus, the photography process can mindfully become a tool of self-help against the ever-increasing level of stress in various groups of the society. The practical part of the thesis consists of photographs, documenting two walks in nature with conceptually and visually strong images, using double exposure. A title for a travelling photography exhibition “My Space” is made. It includes the idea of photography being a value and having a therapeutic effect supporting self-help in emotionally difficult moments or capturing positive and beautiful memories for changing the mood during emotionally challenging moments. The idea of photography in nature is to create a mindful space for cooperation and discoveries, doing it individually with a professional photographer or in a group, thus, promoting friendly and inclusive society. Taking photos is a fusion modern technology and mental energy with an added value. 113 literary sources are used in the work. The volume of the thesis is 72 pages with 13 appendices. The Bachelor’s thesis consists of an introduction, theoretical part, conclusion, conclusions, bibliography, and appendices with photographs.
