Abstract
The aim of the study is to find out and clarify emotional discomfort that occurs in the late postpartum period, from the 4th week of the baby life till one year, and its reduction due the physical activities. Pregnancy and the postpartum period comes together with changes in a woman's body - both mentally and physically. This brings a new and important role in a woman's life, which can bring a lot of emotions, including negative emotions - fear, anxiety, uncertainty, sadness, apathy, depressive feelings. Postpartum emotional discomfort is a very significant problem in around the globe for women's health. Emotional discomfort can lead to thoughts of: endangering oneself, or even thoughts of endangering one's child, which can adversely affect the child's development. For the research is proposed the following hypothesis - with physical activity emotional discomfort in the late postpartum period can be decreased. The research was conducted with a questionnaire created by the author, with inclusion criteria for participants: women, new mothers, in the late postpartum period, starting from the 4th week of the baby's life to one year. The results of the questionnaire confirmed the hypothesis: emotional discomfort in the late postpartum period decreases with the physical activity. It was concluded - physical activity has a positive effect not only on physical health, but also on mental and emotional, which is especially important in the very important, special role of life - to be a mother. It is reasonable to say that the results of the research will be useful for new mothers to have self-discovery around the topic - to identify problems and seek help, to reduce emotional discomfort.
