Abstract
Bakalaura darba “Latgales lokālo interneta portālu krievu valodā chayka.lv un
nashrezekne.lv darba specifika Krievijas izraisītās karadarbības laikā” mērķis ir,
izanalizējot divus minētos portālus, noskaidrot izmaiņas portālu darba specifikā pēc 24.
februāra Krievijas iebrukuma Ukrainā. Darba specifikas izmaiņas tiek aplūkotas
kategorijās kā redakcionālā līnija, medija dienaskārtība, profesionālā ētika, auditorijas
atgriezeniskums un satura kritiskums.
Kopš 2022. gada 24. februāra kara atspoguļojums ir iekļauts mediju nepārtrauktā
dienas kārtībā, radot nebijušus izaicinājumus. Īpaši tas attiecas uz medijiem krievu valodā
Latgales reģionā, kur pastāv liels krievvalodīgo iedzīvotāju īpatsvars un daļa to, kas
atbalsta karu vai ieņem neitrālu pozīciju. No tā izriet jauni profesionālo vērtību jautājumi
The main purpose of bachelor's thesis "Latgale local internet media in russian languange chayka.lv and nashrezekne.lv specificity of work during hostilities caused by Russian aggression” is to study two mentioned internet portlas to find out changes in the specifics of their work since February 24. The concept of work specifity includes editorial line, agenda, professional ethics, audience feedback and criticality of content. Since Russia’s invasion in Ukraine war has been included in the agenda of any media and has created unprecedented challenges. Especially for media in russian-language in Latgale region, where large percentage of population speaks russian, also a large number of those russian-speaking citizens who support war or has taken a neutral position. This fact contributed new issues of professional values for local media workers in order to inform the public about the war topic and to preserve the information space as an aspect of national security. In the theoretical part I studied literature about agenda and gatekeeping theory, the advantages and disadvantages of local digital media, described changes of journalism during the war, which are based on three approaches of military conflict journalism – war, peace and patriotic journalism – and also described new experiences and changes of Russian-Ukrainian war journalism in the view of media experts. Empirical part consists of six in-depth semi-structured interviews with workers of chayka.lv and nashrezekne.lv to clarify their individual experience in the specifics of the work after the start of the war, I also made combinated content analysis of 29 chayka.lv and 30 nashrezekne.lv war-themed publications in the year of the war to clarify the characteristics of the war-themed coverage and the frames used. The theme of war is reflected on the portals through the approach of patriotic journalism, when the journalist portrays the event, groaning from the interests of the nation and reflecting war topics through the perspective of Latvia. Informing about the war has put portals in position, avoiding compliance with professional ethical principles such as neutrality and impartiality in publications and showing support for Ukraine through the agenda and goalkeeper effects, opposing violence and condemning Russian criminal acts. The indirect expression of the position divided the portal audience into those who support the portal and are grateful for high-quality and verified information about the war in russian language and those who condemn the work of portals, showing their aggression in comments
