Abstract
Turklāt neskatoties, ka viņu veselības stāvoklis paliek smagāks, lielākā daļa no viņiem paliek aktīvi sava sociālajā dzīvē.
Colorectal cancer is oncological disease worldwide, especially in developed countries. Statistically, it ranks third among all oncological diseases and is the fourth most frequent cause of death. In order to find out health-related life habits of patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer, the author of the paper conducted a study using a quantitative research method - a questionnaire. A total of 51 patients with inpatient diagnosis of colorectal cancer in the third or fourth stage participated in the survey. The study found that patients with the disease admitted that they did not know how to live on, which should be followed to prolong their life expectancy. The obtained data show that many patients remained less active and did not quit smoking after the illness, but made dietary adjustments, better monitored their weight, began to take more vitamin D and resumed from oil-fried meat. In addition, despite the fact that their health condition is getting worse, most of them remain active in their social life.
