Anotācija
Darba vietās strauji pieaug gados vecāku darbinieku skaits, un līdzīgi pieaug arī pensionāru skaits, salīdzinot ar darbspējīgiem pieaugušajiem. Šī situācija ir izaicinājums ekonomikai. Literatūras aprakstā tiek analizēti pētījumi, kuros aplūkotas problēmas, kas skar novecojošos darbiniekus un darba devējus, kā arī šo problēmu iespējamie risinājumi. Problēmas ir saistītas ar darbinieku vecuma diskrimināciju un faktoriem, kas pazemina nodarbināto darbspējas. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādi pētījumi tika veikti problēmu identifikācijai un risināšanai, un kādās jomās vēl ir nepieciešami pētījumi.
Annotation The number of older workers is increasing in the workplace, as well as the amount of retired people compared to working adults. This is a challenge for the economy. This literary review evaluates research done about different problems aging employees bring and face in the workplace as well as how to try to improve the situation so older employees would be able to work longer. Some of the problems identified with aging employees and their ability to work longer includes age discrimination and factors decreasing work ability like chronic disease and declining health due to changes caused by aging. The objective was to identify what research has already been done and what topic would need more research.
